    1. They will definitely be tougher. Sharon and I are bowling in this tournament. The Coach is considering it.

Wednesday night I bowled eight practice games at Castro Village Bowl with my Sigma Tour. It has a solid coverstock for medium oil. Sharon and I are going to shoot eight games with a single ball tonight at 6:30 and tomorrow night at 6:00.

I might try my Primal TV4 tonight. It's a medium-heavy oil ball with a pearl coverstock. Maybe tomorrow I'll try my Sigma Hybrid for eight games.

    2. BTW, I did some fiddling with the blog settings to stop those annoying spam emails we were getting. I may have overdone it as it appears to have stopped the emails I want Blogger to send. I made one more change today. If it worked right, it should send an email to every memember of the blog whenever someone adds a new post or comment.

    1. Done!

Sharon and I had a good practice last night. I ended up using my Ascent. After experimenting with a few balls in the first game, Sharon bowled the last seven with her Jewel. We did pretty well. We were striking frequently and after a few adjustments, we hit most of our corner spares.

I had a bit of trouble with the 4 and 7 pins in the middle games but I got it sorted out. I was rushing the line and once I stopped doing that, I quit pulling to the left.

We don't want to burn ourselves out with another eight games tonight. We're going to lighten the load a bit and bowl Monte Carlo at Clayton Valley but use only one ball to stay in tune with tomorrow's tournament.

  3. It was fun and challenging but neither Sharon nor I scored well. (The scores are displayed above the flier.) Sharon bowled with her Jewel by 900 Global and I bowled with my Ascent Solid by Motiv. I feel I chose a good ball for the conditions but I didn't execute my shots well for much of the day. The lane assignments were done randomly so Sharon and I didn't bowl together. Sharon ended up bowling with Garrett while I bowled with Ray. Garrett and Ray finished out of the money also.

The tournament was won by a young two-hander from Dublin. Even though I didn't win anything, I enjoyed the experience. I'd like to see more tournaments like this, including some for doubles and teams of three or four.
