Week #13 Results

With our four-point sweep of The Strike Force while The Icemen were winning only three of four from The Desperados, we have sole possession of first place again. The Strike Force were in third place before last night but the four losses sent them spiraling downward to no higher than fifth place.

We're on top with a record of 36-16, followed by The Icemen at 35-17. Sharon's Houses are 31-21 which will be good enough for third place if 2 Much didn't sweep Dinomite. They were still bowling when we left last night so I don't know how they fared. 2 Much were 27.5-20.5 entering the evening. If they swept Dinomite, they're in third place with a record of 31.5-20.5, just ahead of Sharon's Houses. If they didn't sweep, they're in fourth place.

It was our best night of the season by far as our 1520 scratch series topped our previous high of 1428 by 92 pins. All three of us increased our averages. Olivia reached 130, a 28 pin increase over her average at the beginning of the season. The Coach is up to 142 and I got back up to 179. We pushed our team average up to 451. The practice and extra effort we've been making to improve ourselves are paying off.

Our rematch with the Al Sharpton wannabe is in two weeks and Stan won't be there to carry him this time. But before we get too distracted by his ongoing case of verbal diarrhea, we have to take care of business with 2 Much. (I estimate we'll be spotting them a 45 pin handicap.) Once that task has been completed, we can focus on The Icemen.

We're practicing at Pinole Valley Lanes, 6:00 PM on Wednesday.

  3. We can't overlook 2 Much, though. We really need to focus on next week's match with them first. We don't want to slip up and lose to 2 Much because we're looking ahead to our grudge match.
