Should We Form An Office Bowling Club?

I know we have several friends and colleagues who enjoy bowling but can't bowl every week in a league. I was wondering if we should try to form an office bowling club so we can enjoy some bowling and socializing without locking anyone into a weekly commitment.

Perhaps we could get together once or twice per month at different bowling centers in the area. It needn't be anything formal with memberships and club officers. We could put together a club blog like this one to measure interest and figure out when and where to bowl. What do you think?

  1. SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA TO ME COUNT ME IN. I WILL REACH OUT TO SOME MORE PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE WHO BOWLS TO COME OUT AND HAVE A GOOD TIME

  2. Okay! With The Coach's outreach, a few emails, a flier, and maybe a plug in You & The WNPSC, we should be able to get it started.

What I have in mind is something like our outing to Paddock Bowl this Saturday night. Nothing competitive. Just open play or special events like the Monte Carlo night. Maybe the next month we could try Southshore in Alameda with dinner at Applebee's across the road before we bowl. The following month we could meet at a restaurant on Solano Ave or El Cerrito Plaza then bowl at Albany.

I think we should make it clear we welcome everyone from absolute beginners to tournament bowlers. Do we have any other ideas?
