SPORT CHALLENGE DOUBLES 23 - WEEK 12 RESULTS

Our first set was against The Bowler's Advantage which on this night was Ray minus Gaylah Spackman. All three of us started off cold then picked it up in the second game. Ray gave me a pretty good drubbing in both games to claim two head-to-head points. Coach's two games were far enough over his average (with a boost from the handicap) to claim the two head-to-head points against Gaylah's average. Those were the only two points we earned as Ray's scores put the two points for total pinfall out of our reach. We were 2-8 for the set.

In the second set, we matched up with Sasha Gray and Mitch Parella. After finishing our first set quickly, we had to wait quite awhile for Sasha and Mitch whose first set suffered several delays. It would have been nice to have a few warm-up shots after sitting for so long but that isn't allowed. Coach and Sasha split in their head-to-head match up while I won the first game and tied Mitch in the second. As a team, we split the two games, losing the first and winning the second. They took the total pinfall by 15 pins. In the end, we had a record of 5.5-4.5 in the second set and 7.5-12.5 for the night. Our record for the season is 92.5-147.5.

  1. Sorry MM I didn't bowl well as I did Sunday. We will get them next time on the way to Highway Hell.

  3. That's setting the bar pretty high, Coach. You were over your average in all four games. If I had done the same, we'd have picked up at least three more points. It was a fun experience win or lose.

My burning curiosity is, why do we have three people wanting to bowl in two spots on some nights while on others we can only get one? When I was on the road last month, Sharon had to bowl by herself twice. Now that I'm back we have more bowlers than openings. Maybe we're bigger blockheads than previously estimated.
